Following the announcement of Ebou Adam's recent move to Ebbsfleet, the central midfielder has spoken out after his controversial move.
After Martin Ling's announcement that Ebou Adams will not be signing for Leyton Orient, a a large percentage of the fanbase were understandably disappointed.
However, the Gambian midfielder certainly ruffled some feathers as it was announced that the international will be playing his football in Gravesend next season.
In an interview conducted by Kent Online, Ebou Adams went onto reveal why he decided to choose Ebbsfleet over Leyton Orient:
"A few clubs spoke to my agent but I liked the way Ebbsfleet played last year, how they progressed and how they got themselves into the play-offs.
"They offered me a deal and they were more patient. That was the main thing.
"Quite a few clubs came in but Leyton Orient and Ebbsfleet were the main ones. Financially, Leyton Orient offered me the better deal.
"I wanted more time in the National League and it was a big decision. It wasn't easy because I still have ambitions to get into the Football League but I still need to prove myself and hopefully Ebbsfleet is the place for me to do that."
Ebou Adams certainly proved his worth at Leyton Orient last season and Ebbsfleet have performed magnificently within the transfer market to acquire a player of his calibre.
