A Game to Remember: Josh Wright
During a pretty abysmal showing from the O’s a light can be shed on top goal scorer Josh Wright, who despite not scoring was seen excelling in his delivery to the forward line. He put in some great balls into the box, spraying the ball around the park, just a shame no one got on the end of them balls, maybe it could’ve been a different story if we’d of set out with two upfront like at Grimsby (look how great that was) instead of Matt Harold trying to scuffle his way onto something as the loan striker.
Worthy Mention: George Marsh
The midfielder on loan from Tottenham Hotspur hasn’t impressed me too much since his arrival, however he showed short glimmers of brilliance at the Globe Arena Saturday as he supported Wright in a midfield at times dominant but also caught doing the defenders duties. Marsh put in a hard graft Saturday hopefully something he can continue to produce as his loan spell nears conclusion in new year.
Opinion
Controversial opinion or not, i wasn’t excited with the new manager after his first laxed first interview, I wasn’t excited with him after his 45 minutes of his tenure and I’m not too excited now.
Especially when we’re 1-0 down at a pretty shocking Morecambe side and all he can do is fold his arms hopelessly or sticks on another midfielder when we should be trying to snatch an underserved equalizer.
In my opinion, Fletcher looks clueless and that post match interview sums it up, the quote “Well if I knew the answer to that we’d all be millionaires” when questioned “why were they so flat in the first half” really does take the mick, so to speak.
Drastic as it sounds I think this appointment will undo all Justin’s hard work and really break this enthusiasm in this Orient team and amongst the fans (which Justin worked so tirelessly to create). Just shows to the Orient fans that wanted Ross out after his first few games to be careful what they wish for in future.
