As well as the football, both free beer for supporters who arrive early and the re-introduction of the fans favourite ‘O-nut’ means that this weekend’s fixture is set to be jam-packed with fun for the sell out crowd at the Breyer Group stadium.

Hartlepool is establishing themselves as genuine promotion contenders after last season’s disappointing 15th place finish. They’re sixth in the table and one of their only two defeats this season was away at table-toppers Salford.

Similarly, Orient has built on last season and are four places above this weekend’s opponents. Edinburgh’s side has picked up 32 points from their first 15 games, a tally helped by four wins in their last five.

Orient will be looking for payback after the Pools did the double over the O’s last campaign in what was the first season for both clubs in the National League. Hartlepool won 1-0 at home and 2-1 in front of the cameras at Brisbane Road after McAnuff’s opener.

However, it is unknown if Josh Koroma will be able to feature after having to withdraw from the England C squad in midweek as a result of a minor knee injury.

As for the Pools, forward Luke James may be back in contention for a start this weekend after withdrawing from the England C squad with an ankle injury. Midfielder Luke Williams is unavailable after minor surgery last week.
