Preview: Orient v Dover

This article focuses upon Leyton Orient’s next opponents, Dover Athletic, as we take a look at their form, previous meetings and much more ahead of this weekend’s fixture.

The O’s will welcome Dover to Brisbane Road for their second game this bank holiday weekend.

Ahead of the fixture, Dover sit in the bottom four having picked up just four points from their opening six games. In comparison, Orient are just outside the play-off positions having picked up ten points from the opening fixtures.

In recent meetings between the O’s and the Whites, the honours have been even. A 1-1 draw and 1-0 victory in favour of Dover gave them bragging rights in the league, however in the FA Trophy, Orient progressed with a dramatic 4-3 victory at The Crabble.

Chris Kinnear’s side have only picked up one point on the road this season. In their most recent away game they were humiliated 4-0 at the hands of AFC Fylde.

As for Leyton Orient, Edinburgh will hope to stretch this season’s unbeaten run to seven after snatching a draw at Gateshead in their last outing.

Orient striker James Alabi is set to serve a suspension for his red card against Gateshead, however, the recovery of Dale Gorman gives Edinburgh more choice in midfield.

Dover defender Connor Essam is likely to start against his former team after playing for Orient during the 2015/16 season.
