Orient will be looking to close the the gap at the top of the table this weekend when they take on Havant at Westleigh Park. As for the hosts, they’ll be looking to climb out of the relegation zone in the National League.

Ahead of going into battle on Saturday the two clubs have previously only faced each other once. The lone fixture took place in October of this season where the O’s ran out 4-0 victors at Brisbane Road.

The Hawks are sat 21st in the table and will need to overturn the recent form, which has seen them go five games without a win, if they have any serious ambitions regarding securing safety in the division.

In contrast, Orient have won three of their last five fixtures, although two of those victories have been against lower league opponents in the Fa Trophy. A visit to relegation fighting Havant should be a great opportunity to record Orient’s third league win since the turn of the year.

Team News

There have been no fresh injuries in the Havant squad and Midfielder, Theo Lewis has recently complimented the team spirit, claiming that “the chemistry of the boys is brilliant; easily the best group of lads I’ve ever played with” ahead of playing host to Leyton Orient.

Whilst Justin Edinburgh has admitting that James Dayton and Josh Koroma are edging “increasingly closer” to full fitness, Saturday’s game will be too soon for either of them to start.
