Summary of the Fixture:

Justin Edinburgh named an unchanged side once again for the seventh consecutive match.

Barnet kicked off the London derby in their all blue strip. Despite Barnet kicking off the game, it was Orient's Jobi McAnuff who had the first attempt on goal forcing Cousins into a low save.

Orient applied the pressure early on, and Josh Koroma’s curling strike forced Cousins to tip the ball round the post for a corner. The resulting corner was flicked on by Bonne which forced another corner which came to nothing.

At the other end Barnet's Josh Walker blazed his effort way over the bar from the edge of the penalty area.

Orient's Jobi McAnuff dinked a cute free kick into the box, Charlie flicked it the back post, for an unmarked Josh Coulson who smashed it home from close range, making it 1-0 to the O’s.

Shortly after taking the lead Orient should have doubled it when McAnuff delivered a fantastic cross which gave Bonne a free header that he should have converted, but to his frustration it was a comfortable save for Cousins.

Five minutes later, Barnet made the O’s pay when Wes Fongucks well driven shot flew into the bottom corner beating a diving Dean Brill to level the contest, 1-1.

After Orient enjoyed large amounts of possession Barnet won a dangerous free kick near the edge of the box but Cheye Alexanders effort went way over the bar which sent the teams level at half time, which was a fair reflection of the first half.

Orient got the second half underway in all red, neither side making any changes at half time.

On the hourmark the O’s made a double sub seeing Dale Gorman and James Alabi replace Charlie Lee and Josh Koroma. With Orient chasing a second goal.

On the 67th minute, the O’s found that second goal when Dayton cut in from the right, bursting into the penalty area and his insane curling effort arched into the top corner making it 2-1.

Shortly after his goal Dayton was at it again and almost scored his second of the match but to his frustration his effort was dragged just wide of the post.

After a few wasted chances Orient sealed the win with a third goal. Jobi McAnuff's great skill beat the Barnet full back down the by line, he then looked up and laid the ball off to Bonne who hit his first effort against the post, thankfully the ball came back to Bonne who converted into an empty net on the 78th minute. 3-1.

Alabi who had been heavily involved and to some extent changed the game, he saw his best effort out of many go agonisingly wide of the post.

On the 87th minute Harrold replaced Bonne, but didn’t have enough time to make an impact.

The full whistle blew which saw Orient claim a deserved 3-1 win over London rivals Barnet. It’s now 11 unbeaten for Justin Edinburgh’s who continue to storm up to the top.
