What a game for the former Orient man.
Jay Simpson, who featured for Orient between 2014-2017, definitely displayed his goalscoring touch within his most recent fixture for MLS side, Philadelphia Union.
The 29-year-old made 87 appearances for Leyton Orient during his time in east London before moving across the Atlantic to link up with the MLS team. For more information on his time at Orient, take a look at our 'Where Are They Now' piece.
Regarding this fixture, Simpson found the back of the net twice to help bring home the three points for Philadelphia Union against Sporting Kansas City.
The first goal highlighted Simpson's wonderful technique as she struck the ball into the bottom left-hand corner with complete composure.
Furthermore, the 29-year-old found himself in the opposition's penalty area once more as he struck past the Sporting Kansas City goalkeeper for Philadelphia's second and final goal of the game.
Prior to this, Simpson has only recorded a single goal in a Philadelphia shirt but will look to kick on following this fixture.
