The second half introduction of Dale Gorman and James Alabi gave Orient the edge over an organised but limited Barnet side.
Here, Andrew rates the players in what was another very strong team performance.
Player Ratings
Dean Brill - 6
Couldn’t do anything about Fonguck’s wonder strike. Had little to do for the rest of the game.
Josh Coulson – 7
Occasionally Barnet’s strikers caused him problems but he grew in confidence as the game went on. Opened the scoring with another good header.
Marvin Ekpiteta – 7
Another composed performance. Reliable as ever under pressure.
Joe Widdowson – 7
Got forward and combined well with McAnuff in attack. Continues to impress in defence too.
Myles Judd – 7
Bullied Barnet’s players out of the game on the right and made a few strong driving runs going forward.
Craig Clay – 7
Battled well in midfield and got back to help out the defence. Looks a different player from last season and put Dayton through to take back the lead.
Charlie Lee – 7
Mostly had a quiet afternoon, dealing confidently with Barnet and keeping things moving in midfield. Flicked a header on for Coulson to score. Substituted for Gorman.
James Dayton – 8
Came into the game impressively after the double substitution and caused Barnet all kinds of problems. Was cool and composed, curling his finish past the keeper and two defenders.
McAnuff – 8
Always provided an option in attack and got back well several times when Barnet put the pressure on in the first half. Dribbled into the penalty area and used a bit of simple skill to get past the defence and set up Bonne for the third.
Macualey Bonne – 7
Got his goal at the second bite of the cherry after a couple of good chances didn’t quite make it. Substituted for Harrold late on.
Josh Koroma – 5
Some good running but this wasn’t his best game. Substituted for Alabi.
Substitutes
Dale Gorman – 6
Looked skilful and comfortable on the ball. Ran at defenders and linked up well as Orient passed their way through the Barnet defence.
James Alabi – 7
Made a huge difference, charging through the defence with pace and power. Took too long with his chances and missed them, but was instrumental in breaking Barnet down.
Harrold – N/A
Didn’t have time to make an impact.
