Not too long ago, Semedo, who featured in Portuguese youth team training camps, was breaking into the O's first team which left the fans very excited. However, his career has certainly gone down a rather different route since then.
There is no doubt in saying that Sandro Semedo was a gifted young footballer during his time at Leyton Orient. Originally coming from the Leyton Orient Trust's football and education scheme, the Portuguese winger worked his way into the first team.
Since then, Semedo went on to make over 40 appearances for the O's during a two-year spell in east London. Furthermore, during this time, Semedo also spent loan spells at Welling United and Chelmsford City.
Following an era of uncertainty at the club, the Portuguese winger left Orient in 2017 and later joined Serie C side Santarcangelo - with the manager being former O's boss, Alberto Cavasin.
However, in his latest venture, Sandro has linked up with Moldovan National Division side, FC Zimbru Chisinau. Not too sure whether Orient fans or Semedo would have predicted this three years ago.
Nonetheless, this presents Sandro with the opportunity to play football in a different country and within the nations highest domestic division. Furthermore, Zimbru have won the Moldovan National Division on eight occasions.
