This article focuses on Leyton Orient's next opponents, Maidenhead United, and how they've faired this season.
Monday’s home fixture sees 12th placed Orient eyeing up three consecutive victories whilst Maidenhead in 15th place, look for their first win in six games.
In the fixture at York Road an early Macauley Bonne header gave the east Londoners the lead and gallant defending from Elokobi, Coulson and Charlie Grainger ensured Orient secured a narrow victory.
Unlike Orient, Maidenhead United have struggled as of late. Although with a win at Brisbane Road, the Magpies would leapfrog Orient in the table, Maidenhead have picked up just two points from their last five games. A run of form including a 7-1 defeat at the hands of Gateshead.
In comparison, Orient having only conceded three goals in their last five games appear to be in a powerful position and to continue their fine form. Back to back wins Vs Woking and Guiseley resulted in the O’s climbing into the top half of the table for the first time this calendar year. Justin Edinburgh’s men aim to keep their place in the top 12.
One point separates the two sides but with little to play for in terms of the league table for either side this fixture will be more about club pride rather than a crucial clash for three points. Will Leyton Orient do the double over Maidenhead this season? Or could the Magpies take three points back to Berkshire?
