In our new series at Everything Orient, we take a look at ex-Orient players and see where their careers have taken them since their departure from Brisbane Road.
Romain Vincelot was a battling French midfielder who featured for the O's between 2013 and 2015. Furthermore, the former Leyton Orient player made 80 appearances for the O's but he began his career with French outfit Chamois Niortais.
Before taking his first steps on the pitch of Brisbane Road, Romain featured for Brighton and Hove Albion, Gillingham and east London rivals Dagenham & Redbridge.
Regarding his time at Orient, Vincelot was a key member of the squad and featured prominently in the 2013/14 season, where the O's narrowly missed promotion. Furthermore, the French midfielder scored in Leyton Orient's 1-0 victory over Aston Villa, who were a Premier League side at the time.
As mentioned before, Vincelot departed the club in 2015 following Leyton Orient's relegation to League Two. The Frenchmen joined up with Coventry City for the 2015/16 campaign but only spent a single season with the Sky Blues.
The following season Vincelot linked up with Bradford City. Within this season, Bradford finished 5th in League One and are currently 9th in the table at the moment.
Vincelot was the beating heart of the midfield during his time with the O's, however, it is understandable that a player of his calibre would need to leave in order to play with other players of his standard.
