In our new series at Everything Orient, we take a look at ex-Orient players and see where their careers have taken them since their departure from Brisbane Road.
Moses Odubajo came through the academy at Leyton Orient, joining the O's as a 16-year-old after a stint with Millwall's youth team. Odubajo was regarded as a skilful and energetic wide player who was a great asset to the club during his time with the O's.
Odubajo, now 24, made his first appearance for Orient against east London rivals Dagenham & Redbridge in a League Trophy fixture which the O's lost on penalties. Furthermore, Moses went on to make just under 100 appearances for Leyton Orient during a four year stay at Brisbane Road.
The wide player impressed during his final season with the O's where the east London side narrowly missed promotion, earning himself a £1m move to Brentford.
The former Leyton Orient academy graduate only spent a single season with the west London club. His impressive performances helped secure a move to Hull City, who were promoted to the Premier League the following season.
Despite what seemed to be an instantaneous rise to Premier League stardom for Moses, he suffered a horrendous knee injury which ruled him out of action for 18 months. Therefore, the 24-year-old was unable to play a single minute of Premier League football and Hull City were relegated at the first time of asking.
Now sitting 20th in the Championship, it seems unlikely that Odubajo and Hull City will be making a return to the Premier League anytime soon. Nonetheless, it's wonderful to see that such a gifted footballer and one of our own is back playing once again.
