Where Are They Now: Kevin Lisbie

In our new series at Everything Orient, we take a look at ex-Orient players and see where their careers have taken them since their departure from Brisbane Road.

Kevin Lisbie, or 'Super Kev' as he was commonly referred to, was a Leyton Orient striker who was heavily involved in the 2013/14 season where the O's narrowly missed promotion.

However, the Jamaican striker, who made ten appearances for his national team, began his career in the south side of London with Charlton Athletic. He was contracted to the Addicks for ten years but spent multiple loans with clubs such as Gillingham, Norwich City and QPR to name just a few.

Lisbie then moved on to Colchester United and Ipswich Town before eventually settling with the O's. The forward would go on to make over 100 appearances for the east London side, scoring 46 goals in this time.

During the majority of his career, he endured a relative amount of success. However, during his final season with the O's, Lisbie received a shoulder injury which ruled him out of action for the early moments of the season. Upon his return, Super Kev struggled to get into the side which resulted in a loan move to Stevenage near the end of the season.

Lisbie then took the decision to leave Orient, joining Barnet in the 2015/16 season. However, sadly for Lisbie, injuries seem to plague the rest of the Jamaicans career. Only making four appearances for Barnet before moving onto Whitehawk and now currently plays for semi-professional side, Cray Valley Paper Mills.

Nonetheless, it does appear that Lisbie has turned his attention to coaching, as he now currently works for Leyton Orient in a coaching role. Who knows, we may have a future Leyton Orient manager on our hands.

What do you think of Lisbie and who would you like to see Everything Orient cover next? Feel free to leave any suggestions below in the comments section or reply to our tweet on Twitter. Up the O's!
