Welsh Players That Have Represented The O's

In the light of St David's day, here at Everything Orient we take a look at a list of Welsh players that have represented the O's.

1. Alex Lawless

Alex Lawless is the only current Leyton Orient player that is of the Welsh nationality and joined the O's as recently as 2017. Lawless, 32, graduated from the Cardiff City academy in 2002 but is mostly remembered for his time with Luton Town, making 164 appearances for the Hatters. The Welsh midfielder has made over 26 appearances for Leyton Orient and we hope there is plenty more to come.

2. Neal Eardley

Now featuring for Lincoln City, Eardley made just a single appearance for Leyton Orient during the 2015/16 season, as he arrived on loan from Birmingham City. Nonetheless, the former Orient man featured for the Welsh national team on 16 occasions.

3. Lloyd James

Lloyd James was certainly a fan favourite in east London, making 108 appearances for the O's in a four year stint at the club. The Welsh midfielder came through the ranks at Southampton whilst playing alongside well known names such as Gareth Bale and Theo Walcott. In addition to this, James featured for Wales from u17 to u21 level but is yet to feature for the senior side. Here at Everything Orient, we would love to see James in a red shirt again.

4. Nicky Adams

Much like Eardley, Nicky Adams featured for just a few short games on a loan spell from Leicester City in the 2010/11 season. Adams, who is contracted to Carlisle, never featured for the Welsh national team at senior level but has made five appearances for the Dragon's u21 side.

These are just a few Welsh players who have represented the mighty O's, did we miss any? Comment below or reply on Twitter saying your favourite Welsh players to play for Leyton Orient.
