Over the month of June, the O's have been busy preparing for the new season,on-and-off the pitch, and are making rapid progress. In this article we review Orient's signings over this period including analysis, fan opinions and much more.
Incomings
Dale Gorman
Centre midfielder, Northern Ireland
Full name: Dale Anthony Gorman
Date of Birth: 28/06/1996
Height: 5ft 11"
On the 14th of June, Leyton Orient announced the signing of Stevenage midfielder Dale Gorman after impressing for the Boro in League Two, playing week in week out in their first team. Aged 22, Dale grew up in Letterkenny on the Northern/ Republic of Ireland border. Furthermore, he is capped by Northern Ireland at youth level, playing for the U17s, U19s and is currently a vital member of the U21 side but yet to make a senior appearance.
In my opinion this is a very good signing and we have done well to acquire him considering that he was getting good reviews at Stevenage from the fans and that he is capped at youth level for Northern Ireland which is always good to have international experience in your squad, especially in the lower leagues.
I personally think Dale could be a better player than Ebou Adams and I think this was a safer deal for Orient. Dale is a proven playmaker and I'm excited by his potential and what he could go on to do in an Orient shirt.

James Alabi
Striker, England
Full name: James Bamidele Oluwatemi Alabi Date of Birth: 08/11/1994 Height: 6ft 1"
On June 26th, Leyton Orient completed the signing on Tranmere Rovers striker James Alabi after an unsuccessful spell for the National League playoff winners and found himself out of favour at the Birkenhead side.
James has had many brief short term loan spells so far in his career, playing mostly in League Two. He caught the attention of many clubs after a successful spell with Chester scoring 23 goals in his one year at the club. Alabi, born and bread in South London, is also capped by England C making 2 appearances for the non league lions, the current C team also features O's players Sam Ling and Josh Koroma.
A good signing in my opinion, not what many O's fans expected as most attention would've been put on John Akinde. However, Alabi is young, has excelled at this level having done really well at Chester, some may say this was a bad signing after his flop at Tranmere but he only played 9 games for them and was rarely given chances in the first team so it wasn't like he was like Matt Harold, struggling for consistent performances and playing 25 games last season.
So, I think if you look at it like that ,we might have a real gem on our hands but only if we give him chances, let him reach his potential and let him blossom as a player. Hopefully he can prove all the doubters wrong and with him and Bonne in attack, can fire the O's up the table, whether he's putting them in the back of the net or linking up with Bonne as a source of assists.

Hope it works out for him, said from start the move to tranmere was wrong for him and tranmere was never gonna be starting every week and didn't fit there style of play and certainly player of his ambition won't stand for the bench either
